ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Jackie Moczygemba will serve as the interim chair for the Department of Health Information Management, effective Sunday, Sept. 1, according to Dr. Gen Bourgeois, provost and vice president of Academic Affairs for Texas State University.

Moczygemba, who received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from Texas State University, holds certification as a registered health information and administrator and coding specialist. Since 1982, Moczygemba has been in the health information management profession and has been with Texas State University for 18 years. Prior to teaching, Moczygemba spent 12 years as a director of Health Information Management services in the acute care setting and has several years of experience in health management consulting in long-term care.

Recently named as a Fellow of the American Health Information Management Association, Moczygemba was recognized at the national convention in Chicago last year for her significant and sustained contributions to the profession.

Moczygemba was appointed to the American Health Information Management Association’s Community Workgroup of the Council for Excellence in Education. Previously, she was an appointee for the American management association’s exam construction committee for the certified coding analyst credential. A member of the editorial review panel for perspective in Health Information Management, Moczygemba is also a principal investigator in an exploratory study to examine current practices in migrating longitudinal clinical data into electronic health records.

She also served on the board of the Texas Health Information Management Association as the public relations director from 2002-04.

Jackie (Moy) Moczygemba is married to Ross Moczygemba. The couple have two children, Stephen and Shannon. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie J. Moy of San Antonio, Moczygemba is the daughter-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Lucian Moczygemba of Cestohowa.
