The 20th annual Beaver Roundup was held in the Falls City Community Hall on Aug. 3, with well over 400 former students and guests in attendance during the program. Registration and social hour began at 4 p.m., followed by a barbecue meal. J & M Pro Sound provided background music during the meal and dance music that evening.

The honor classes of 1953, 1958, 1963, 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998, and 2003 were recognized during the program that featured music and trivia from high school days. Janis Rotter, class of 1967, was the emcee for the program. The Falls City High School dance team, cheerleaders, color guard, and mascot provided entertainment and raised the spirit of the crowd. Tylor Chaplin, superintendent of Falls City Independent School District, spoke briefly and recognized the newly formed Falls City Education Foundation.

The Beaver Roundup Committee will soon begin planning for the 21st annual Beaver Roundup, to be held Aug. 2, 2014, in the Falls City Community Hall. Representatives for next year’s honor classes, including 1954, 1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, and 2004, will be contacted this fall.
