Cub Scout Pack No. 114 will hold its annual fall roundup of Scouts on Friday, Aug. 30, from 6-8 p.m. in the Floresville North Elementary School at 14905 F.M. 775 north of Floresville.

Each potential Scout attending the roundup will have a chance to complete a project to take home. Eligible boys must be entering the first through fifth grades in the fall of 2013.

Pack No. 114 is an active pack which has presented the colors at a San Antonio Silver Stars basketball game, a San Antonio Rampage hockey game, and a San Antonio Scorpions soccer game. The boys also present the colors before each Floresville North PTA meeting, and at a Floresville Tigers High School football game. They alternate raising the flags at Floresville North Elementary.

The Scouts also had a chance to attend a San Antonio Missions baseball game and spend the night on the field. Camping activities include their annual family campout, Cub and One Council Campouts, as well as summer day camps, Akela and Weboree. At these campouts, the boys each have the opportunity to participate in BB gun shooting, archery, nature hikes, compass bearing, crafts, games, fishing, and more.

The pack also participates in the annual raingutter regatta and pinewood derby, where each Scout has the opportunity to create and race his own personal boat and car. All of these activities are completed, incorporating the 12 core values of Scouting.
