Driver loses control of tractor-trailer
An overturned tractor-trailer lays in a muddy pasture off S.H. 97 west of Stockdale Aug. 26 following a crash that was caused by rainy weather conditions, according to Trooper Cory Holmes of the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol.
The driver, 41-year-old Maria Del Carmen Solis Gutierrez of San Antonio, was traveling westbound on S.H. 97 just before 4:15 p.m. when she apparently lost control of her 2000 Freightliner semi tractor hauling a trailer loaded with gravel, causing the vehicle to cross the eastbound lanes and crash through a fence before coming to rest in the pasture. Holmes said Gutierrez was not injured.
