FLORESVILLE -- Police here are warning residents to keep valuables out of sight and to keep their car doors locked, after two men allegedly stole a wallet and an X-Box video game console from a vehicle parked outside a home in Floresville Aug. 18.
Jimmy Camarillo Jr., 32, of Floresville was arrested in connection with the incident. He is charged with one count each of credit card or debit card abuse and burglary of a vehicle, and is being held in the Wilson County Jail. He also is being held on an unrelated charge of credit card or debit card abuse. His bonds total $15,000, according to jail records.
His alleged accomplice, 43-year-old Juan Antonio Moreno of Floresville, was charged with one count of credit card or debit card abuse. He was released from the Wilson County Jail after posting $7,500 bond.
According to Floresville Police Department Patrolman James “Billy” Mitchell’s report, the victim was alerted that his debit card had been used at the One Stop convenience store and Exxon gas station near the intersection of U.S. 181 and S.H. 97 West in Floresville, said Floresville police Detective George Ortiz. Surveillance video shows the suspects purchasing $66 worth of gasoline.
The card also was used at a Walmart Supercenter in the Brooks City-Base complex in San Antonio.
