Parish festival in Yorktown
The Holy Cross Catholic Church in Yorktown will hold its annual festival on Sunday, Sept. 8, in the Yorktown Community Hall at 60 Community Hall Road in Yorktown.
A Mass with Polish music will be held in the church at 9:30 a.m., followed by the opening of a country store at 10:30 a.m. A silent auction will be held in the air-conditioned hall along with lunch to include homemade sausage, barbecued beef, potato salad, coleslaw, dessert, and a drink. Plates will be $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Lunch will close at 2 p.m.
Other activities will include music by DJ Val Mungia, a cake walk at 11 a.m., a moon bounce, and a live auction at 1 p.m.
