1931-2013

August J. Kiolbassa, 82, of St. Hedwig, Texas, was reunited with his beloved wife, Eugenia, on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013. He was born on Jan. 9, 1931, in St. Hedwig to John Kiolbassa and Mary Woitena.

August is survived by his children, Clarence and Jean Kiolbassa, Kenneth Kiolbassa, Cheryl and Michael Michalec, and Michelle Kiolbassa and Paul Hernandez; grandchildren Bethany, Stephen, and Sarah Michalec; honorary son Jim Meils; sisters Irene Fraizer and Lillian Kiolbassa May; and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Stanley, Johnny, and Anita Padalecki.

The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to Bradi, Karen, Alicia, and Lisa, who lovingly cared for him.

Visitation was held on Friday, Aug. 30, from 4-6 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig.

A funeral Mass was held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the church with the Rev. Bill Zadora officiating.

Interment followed in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Kitchen Fund, 14011 F.M. 1346, P.O. Box 100, St. Hedwig, TX 78152.
