1936-2013

Teresa Martina (Schachle) Ryan passed away on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013. She was born to Teresa Marie (Simon) and John Thomas Schachle Sr. on Oct. 13, 1936.

Teresa was a registered nurse and served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force with the 851st Medical Group.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Tyler Dennis; and siblings Charles Schachle, Mary Louise Hodgson, Katherine Schachle Wilhelm, John T. Schachle Jr., and James Schachle.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Patrick J. Ryan Sr.; children John Ryan, Christina Ryan Jarzombek and husband John, Michael Ryan and wife Sandy, Chris Ryan, Patrick Ryan Jr. and wife Dianna, and Phillip Ryan; seven grandchildren; sister Roberta Schachle; brother Patrick Joseph Schachle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, Aug. 29, from 6-8 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m. in the Colonial Funeral Home in Universal City.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday at 9 a.m. in the Randolph Air Force Base Chapel 1.

Interment followed in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in San Antonio with military honors.
