Knights plan Johnny Lopez golf tourney at River Bend
The 39th annual Johnny Lopez Knights of Columbus State Golf Tournament is being hosted by the Texas State Council and the Poth, Floresville, and Pleasanton Knights of Columbus Councils. The tournament this year will be held the weekend of Sept. 27-29, at two different golf courses, including River Bend Golf Club at Floresville and Pleasanton Country Club.
River Bend Golf Club will host the Friday scramble tournament, which has a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The Saturday and Sunday individual tournament play will be played at both the River Bend course and the Pleasanton course, with an 8 a.m. start both mornings.
The entry fee for the scramble is $70 per golfer, and the entry fee for the individual two-day tournament is $130 per golfer. Those who sign up to play all three days will enjoy a discounted entry fee of $165.
Player registration will be held at the River Bend Golf Club at Floresville, beginning at 9 a.m. Friday morning, and continuing until 6 p.m. that evening. Late registration will be held at both golf courses on Saturday morning from 7-7:30 a.m.
