ST. HEDWIG -- Deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office continue their search for clues following a hit-and-run crash just before 9 p.m. Sept. 13 that claimed two lives on Loop 1604 near the Texas Pride Bar BBQ here.

According to sheriff’s office spokesman Paul Berry, a male and female were riding a motorcycle south on Loop 1604 near La Vernia Road when a pickup truck struck the pair, knocking them off the motorcycle. A second pickup truck then ran over them. Both vehicles left the scene.

Berry said the first victim has been identified as 51-year-old Cameron Courney of Buda. The identity of the second victim has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

Deputies believe that the first vehicle was an early 2000s model Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck that was white in color, Berry said. The second vehicle is believed to be a late 1990s Ford F-series pickup truck that is brown -- possibly brown over tan.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at 210-335-TIPS (8477), or the sheriff’s Traffic Homicide Unit at 210-335-6086.
