SAN ANTONIO -- Al Roker has made his mark in life by being an engaging, witty meteorologist. But Roker has also seen some stormy weather of his own, and that makes him probably the perfect speaker to address the San Antonio Red Cross Red Carpet Gala on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 6:30-10:30 p.m. in the Valero Headquarters at 1 Valero Way in San Antonio.

A 12-time Emmy winner, Roker is one of America’s television rock stars, as well as a meteorological institution. He is a host of NBC’s “Today,” a best-selling author with five acclaimed books to his credit, and a successful entrepreneur. Roker is both loved and respected by his vast audience from the diverse worlds of TV, print, literary, and community.

Funds raised from the Gala will help the San Antonio Area Chapter (22 counties, serving 2.4 million people) to respond to disasters around the clock, connect deployed military service men and women and their families, provide emergency preparedness education, and teach people to save lives.
