Letter: Is it now the ‘Air Farce’?
As I read a recent story in area media about the Air Force colonel, a flagrant and open lesbian, bringing charges against her non-commissioned officer for his opinion on homosexuality, I was totally disgusted with her and quite frankly, she should appear before a “show cause” board and be dismissed from the Air Force. As a minimum, she should resign her commission immediately as she is not fit to serve.
As an officer in the U.S. Air Force, she swore an oath of office to “... support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same ....” In that Constitution is the First Amendment, which states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
This colonel solicited the non-commissioned officer’s “opinion” -- not official Air Force position, but again his personal opinion -- and when he answered and stood his ground for his faith, for God, she relieved him and wants to court-martial him. This is a disgrace to the Constitution, to the United States, and to the U.S. Air Force. What is worse is that the Air Force, to date, has not taken action against her. It appears as if the Air Force has decided to take a position that does not support the Constitution and free speech. Imagine that, our own military not defending the Constitution we swear allegiance to!
The United States was founded on Christian principles, our Constitution is based on the Bible, and in fact, our own government, in the 1790s, bought and paid for Bibles to be distributed in the schools throughout the country. Look at how far we have come from being a Christian nation, to becoming Christian neutral and then anti-Christian. But it does not end there; this is an example of how we have actually entered into a new phase, ushered in by the Affordable Healthcare Act, of Christian persecution. The Catholic church and all Christian faiths are under attack to provide abortion under the gross disguise of health care against our faith, and cities like San Antonio and many others vote to make homosexuals a protected class.
America is in troubled spiritual times and I hope that America realizes, soon, how bad we have come off track and that we get back focused on God soon, or America, as we knew it, will never exist again. As President John Adams so intelligently said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” Truer words were never spoken.
If this Air Force case goes to trial, we the people must demand the dismantling of the Air Force as it will have become an anti-constitutional organization and this colonel, along with the Air Force, will have become “domestic enemies.”
