Offer condolences


Josephine E. Richardson, a longtime resident of Floresville, entered eternal rest on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, in the Connally Memorial Medical Center in Floresville at the age of 89 years, 5 months, and 27 days. Josephine was born March 18, 1924, in Lockhart, Texas, the daughter of John and Annie Bienek.

After her schooling, she married her husband, Limuel “Bubba” Richardson and became a homemaker.

Josephine was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Limuel “Bubba” Richardson; and brothers and sisters Ramond, Antone “Tony,” Bernard, Clem, Theresa, Connie, Agnes, Bertha, and Margaret.

Josephine is survived by her children, Arthur “Wayne” Richardson and wife Patricia of Floresville, Elaine Wiatrek and husband Michael of Poth, Benjamin Lee Richardson and wife Linda of Poth, James Douglas Richardson of Floresville, and Allan Gerard Richardson and wife Honey of Floresville; her grandchildren, Sabrina Bateman, Gary Richardson, Robyn Richardson Anderson and husband Perry, Melissa Rosene and husband Tim, Katie Wiatrek, John Curtis Wiatrek, Charles Richardson, Sheridan Richardson, Caley Richardson, and Jennifer Maun; and her great-grandchildren, Sammantha Bateman and Kolton Anderson.

Visitation was held on Monday, Sept. 16, at 5 p.m. with a recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville. A funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville, officiated by the Rev. Frank Kurzaj. Interment followed in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Floresville. Serving as pallbearers were Randy Fleming, Tommy Tackitt, Joe D. Tackitt Jr., Tim Rosene, Perry Anderson, and Charlie Richardson.
