Peanut Festival royal attire now on display
The wardrobes of royal courts from past Floresville Peanut Festivals are on display throughout Floresville in anticipation of this year’s festival, scheduled for the second weekend in October.
On display through Sept. 26 will be the 1993 Court of Ancestral Cultures, with Queen Sarah Roemer and King Ross Koenig.
The 2003 Court of American Spirit will be displayed Sept. 27 through Oct. 3. Queen Ryann (Rocha) Fonseca and King Trey Pfeil reigned over that court.
The wardrobe of last year’s Court of America’s Majestic Beauty, Queen Caitlyn May, will be displayed Oct. 4-10.
Items from the past courts’ royal wardrobes will be displayed at Hoelscher’s Furniture, the First National Bank, the Wilson County News, City Cleaners, Farmers Insurance, and A Rey of Flowers.
Be sure to view the wardrobes of the newly crowned court during the festival downtown at the following locations: City Cleaners, Avana’s, The Flower Basket, the Wilson County News, the Law Offices of Louis T. Rosenberg, A Rey of Flowers, and Rockin’ Western Wear & Tack.
The Peanut Festival Association wishes to thank the area businesses for supporting the tradition and allowing the courts to display their wardrobes.
