Acoustic gospel singer Michael Payton of Grand Prairie will perform for his CD release Friday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m. at the Strong Tower Christian Fellowship, located at 12045 U.S. 87E. in Adkins.

Armed with the passion for serving Christ and the musical talent, Payton’s songs are beautiful and inspiring worship tunes. Packed with upbeat melodies, his songs make listeners jump in praise for the Lord!

Payton, the son of a worship pastor, started learning piano at the age of 4. He wrote his first song at the age of 7 and sang on stage at church with his family from his childhood. At the age of 18, according to his website, he surrendered to God’s call to worship ministry. It was then that Payton learned guitar and began to write worship songs and lead worship at camps, revivals, and various churches. His passion is writing music that can be used by God’s people to give glory to Him. Beyond writing music, Payton loves nothing more than leading God’s people in worship.

Payton will be singing songs from his debut album, “Hear It From Me,” at the Adkins event.

Free hamburger/hot dog meals and drinks will be provided at 6 p.m. prior to the event.
