Jeffery and Cheryl Smolka of Falls City, Texas, are proud to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Amanda, to Travis Scheffler, the son of Kenny and Peggy Scheffler of Poth.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of George and Theresa Zaiontz and Florence Smolka and the late Raymond Smolka.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Edward and Shirley Moczygemba and the late Anton and Sylvia Scheffler.

Amanda, a 2006 graduate of Madison Academic High School in Jackson, Tenn., received a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2010 from Bethel University in McKenzie, Tenn.

Travis, a 2007 graduate of Poth High School, received an associate degree of applied science in radiology from St. Philip’s College in 2012.

Amanda and Travis are planning an October 2013 wedding in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Falls City, Texas.
