A Rainwater Harvesting Basics workshop will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. until noon at the Mitchell Lake Audubon Center located at 1075 Pleasanton Road in San Antonio.

If you have ever thought of harvesting the rain, this is the opportunity to learn more. State law now permits anyone to have cisterns in their yard. Listen to Mark Peterson, project coordinator at SAWS Conservation, who will offer the basics that you need to know for a successful system.

Event fee is $10 for Mitchell Lake Audubon Center (MLAC) members, $15 for non-MLAC members.

Registration is required by calling 210-628-1639 or email mlac@audubon.org.

For more information, visit www.mitchelllakeaudubon.com.
