Paul Edward Albert, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at the age of 70. He was born June 6, 1943, to Leroy and Evelyn (Reinhard) Albert.

Paul was a hard worker who dabbled in a little bit of everything. He retired in 1994 from Kelly Air Force Base and began his dream job of farming and ranching. Paul loved rodeos, hunting, fishing, playing games with his family, visiting with friends, and taking care of his animals, but most of all he loved his family. Nothing made him happier than being surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Jimmy Albert; and sister Deborah Albert.

Paul is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rose Mary Albert; daughters Joyce Albert Horner and husband John and Sherry Albert Trainor and husband Michael; his son, Charles Edward Albert and wife Shannon; his uncle, Roy Albert; his five grandchildren, Jacquelyn Trainor Leonard and husband Sheldon, Lauren Horner, Kyle Trainor, Charles Albert Jr., and Christopher Albert; his sisters, Carolyn Albert Kruse and husband Lawrence and Linda Albert Miller and husband Ron; and his brother, Billy Albert and wife Ilene.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 5-7 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m. in the Dellcrest Funeral Home in San Antonio, Texas.

A funeral Mass was held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Holy Name Catholic Church in San Antonio.
