Enedina G. Garcia, a lifelong resident of Floresville, Texas, passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at 12:13 p.m. in the Stone Oak Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 73 years and 1 day. Enedina was born in Tampico, Mexico, on Sept. 21, 1940.

After graduation from Valley Baptist Academy in Harlingen, she was a homemaker. Enedina married Rogerio E. Garcia Sr. on July 8, 1964, in Calallen Baptist Church in Calallen. Enedina loved working with her plants in her garden and enjoyed her many cats. She donated to many charities and was a very active member of the Wilson County Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Floresville.

Enedina is survived by her beloved husband of more than 49 years, Rogerio E. Garcia Sr.; her children, Virginia G. Lerma and Jesse A., Rachel Garcia and Gary Todd, Yolanda Garcia, Rogerio Garcia Jr. and Shelly, Martha-Lisa Garcia-Lopez and Gerardo Soto, and Sally Garcia and Mike Moreno; her grandchildren, Johnny Peter Mendez and Elaina, April Jean Valadez and Adam, Michelle M. Mendez, Richard Roger Mendez and Lauren Miranda, Valerie Coronado and Juan, Matthew Lerma, Jessica S. Lerma, Shawn Joseph Galindo and Jennifer Maldonado, Michael Joseph Foerster III and Jessica, Tanya Rae Alfaro and David Raymond Sanchez, Tony Alfaro Jr., Jessica Ann Rodriguez and Daryl Cerna, Amanda Lee Garcia and Jonathan Joseph Ortiz, Josephine Todd, Audrey Nicole and Amanda Garcia, Alonzo Nathaniel Garcia and Amber, Dominique Victoria Segura, Rogerio Angel Garcia, Taylor Garcia, Alexandria Enedina Garcia, Andrew Ryan Lopez and Kelli, Adrian Adam Lopez, J.J. Bartholomew Martinez Jr., Loren Rosa Moreno, Nicolas Michael Moreno, Aryana Marie Moreno, and Samson Michael Moreno; and her 32 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, Sept. 27, at 5 p.m. in the Wilson County Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Floresville.

A funeral service was held on Friday at 7 p.m. in the church officiated by Pastor Becerra.

A rosary was recited on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville, officiated by the Rev. Dennis Jarzombek.

Interment followed in the Cañada Verde Cemetery in Wilson County.

Serving as pallbearers were Shawn Galindo, Richard Mendez, Tony Alfaro Jr., Adam Valadez, Daryl Cerna, Johnny Peter Mendez, Taylor Garcia, and Jose Guerrero.

Serving as honorary pallbearer was David Raymond Sanchez.
