ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Kasey Michelle Tieken will represent Sandy Strozier, booth coordinator, during the 69th annual Floresville Peanut Festival.

Kasey is the daughter of Rick and Lisa Tieken. Her siblings are Kelsey, Travis, and Ryan. Kasey is the granddaughter of Jimmy and Doris Jefferies of Seguin, and the late Rufus and Lilly Tieken, formerly of Floresville.

Kasey is a senior at Floresville High School. She is an active member of National Honor Society, Student Council, and FFA, and is a senior class officer and TAFE president. She has been a member of the Jaguar softball team since her freshman year and has earned several All-District/Academic honors. She is also a member of the Alamo City No Fear Select softball Gold team. Kasey plans to attend college to play softball and pursue a degree in criminal justice.

Kasey has chosen Luke Douglas Clements as her escort. Luke is also a senior at Floresville High School. He is a senior class officer and a member of the Tiger varsity football team. Luke is the son of Mike and Allison Clements. He has two older brothers and one younger brother.
