Landyn Tanner Latka
Landyn Tanner Latka is proud to announce that he will be in the 69th annual Peanut Festival Court of Broadway Lights, serving as acolyte to Queen Corinne Morkovsky.
Landyn is 6 years old and is in the first grade at Floresville South Elementary School. He is the son of Larry and Amanda Latka. He has an older brother, Lance, 10, and a younger brother, Layton, 3. Landyn’s grandparents are Lawrence and Vicki Latka and Ernest and Brenda King, all of Floresville.
Landyn’s great-grandfather, the late Joe D. Tackitt Sr., and his great-uncles were peanut farmers for many years in Wilson County. His great-grandmother, the late Mary Ella Tackitt, served as honorary parade marshal in 1998. His father, Larry, served as prince in the 56th annual Peanut Festival’s Court of New Horizons, serving Queen Ashley Ortmann. His older brother, Lance, served as page in the 67th annual Peanut Festival’s Court of Mystical Magical Universe, serving Queen Alexa Carvajal. His cousin, Michelle Tackitt, is serving as president this year for the 69th annual Peanut Festival. Landyn has had many other family members serve in the children’s court, royal court, as board members, and as president of the Peanut Festival throughout the years. He is very proud to be an addition to the list of family members who have served.
Landyn would like to thank Nora Cadena, his seamstress, for all the hard work and dedication that she has put into making his wonderful outfit.
Landyn feels blessed and honored that he has been chosen to serve in this year’s Peanut Festival Children’s Court and would like to extend his appreciation and gratitude to Queen Corinne Morkovsky for giving him this unforgettable opportunity.
