It is with great honor that Carley Lane Leal announces that she has been selected to serve as train bearer to Queen-elect Corinne Markovsky and the Court of Broadway Lights.

Carley is the 5-year-old daughter of Randy and Carmen Leal. She is the granddaughter of Roland and Susie Castro and Abelardo and Dora Leal, all of Floresville.

Carley is a kindergarten student at Sacred Heart Catholic School, where she has attended since she was 3 years old. She is a third-year Wildcat cheerleader and enjoys bonding with fellow cheerleaders and cheering, their team on. Her favorite cheer is the “Wildcat Rumba.” In addition to cheering, Carley has also been a student of the Erin Jones School of Dance and has played basketball with the Spurs Youth League and two years of T-ball with the SA Swingettes and Floresville Little League.

In her spare time, Carley loves singing, dancing, and swimming. She enjoys after-school trips to Scoops with her daddy, shopping with her mommy, and playing with her Barbies and Lalaloopsy dolls. Carley also enjoys traveling to the beach in the summer and to the mountains for snow skiing in the winter. Her favorite pastime is hanging out with her cousins and friends.

Carley wishes to extend a big hug to her Auntie Courtney Cantu and Aunt Carolyn Palacios for their love and always having her over for playtime and sleepovers.

Carley and her family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to her talented seamstress, Nora Cadena, for her time, skill, and dedication for bringing Carley’s dress sketch to a reality. They would also like to thank Queen-elect Corinne and her parents, Russell and Shelley, for giving her the opportunity to be part of history and make her own peanut memories.

Carley has had such a wonderful time with her Peanut Family and looks forward to enjoying the festival and parades together. She invites everyone to the 69th annual Floresville Peanut Festival!
