Shelby Lynn Madden is excited to represent the Floresville Peanut Festival Association as a princess in the Court of Broadway Lights.

Shelby is the daughter of Calvin and Linda Madden and is the youngest sister of Tanya Chessher of Floresville and Heidi Edwards of Slidell, La. She is the granddaughter of Douglas and Willamette Madden of San Antonio, and maternal grandparents Harriet Simmons of Homosassa, Fla., and the late Phillip Simmons.

Shelby has been in the Floresville FFA organization for the past 10 years, where she has shown pigs, goats, and lambs and also represents the officer team as the 2013-14 treasurer. Shelby is the vice president of TAFE (Texas Association of Future Educators), and has lettered in cheerleading by serving as the Lady Tiger mascot at Floresville High School. Shelby is also a lifetime member of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Sheep and Goat committees.

After graduation, Shelby plans to attend Texas State University to pursue a degree in agricultural education.

Shelby is excited to share this experience with her escort and lifelong friend, Paul Jason Quinters. She is also thankful to have her friends and family by her side, allowing her to cherish these moments forever. A special thanks goes out to Kathy Sawer and Tammy Quinters for all of their hard work, knowing that with God, all things are possible. She also would like to thank the Peanut Festival Association for being able to represent the town and be a part of this amazing organization.
