The 2012 Court of America’s Majestic Beauty is presented during last year’s Peanut Festival Parade. Plan to attend this year’s parade Saturday in downtown Floresville.
Get ready to block off your calendar for a week of fun as historic downtown Floresville gets transformed into the fun-filled, family-friendly 69th annual Peanut Festival to be held Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 10-12, around the Wilson County Courthouse Square.
Festivities will kick off on Thursday, Oct. 10, with a carnival wristband night. In addition, the Coronation of Queen Tunaep LXIX will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Wiley Seale Auditorium at Floresville High School. All in attendance will witness a grand celebration with the crowning of Queen Tunaep, Corinne Marie Morkovsky, and the presentation of the Court of Broadway Lights.
On Friday evening, the Women’s Service Organization (WSO) will host a Kiddie Parade at 6 p.m. Check-in will be at 5 p.m. near the Floresville Police Department. Live entertainment and food booths will be in full swing until midnight.
Grab your lawn chairs and gather the kids for the Grand Parade on Saturday at 10 a.m. and stay to enjoy music, kids’ entertainment, food booths, arts and crafts, and more.
