LA VERNIA -- Two teens who were the subject of a search by the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office are reported to be safe at home, officials said.

Sheriff’s Investigator Roland Treviño said both 17-year-old Benjamin Spaulding and 15-year-old Abbey Lowe returned home before 11 a.m. Oct. 10. The two had not been seen for nearly two days, prompting a flurry of activity on local Facebook accounts.

During a telephone interview with the Wilson County News, Benjamin’s mother, Brenda, expressed relief that the teens are safe and sound. She thanked everyone for their prayers and for spreading the word about the teens’ disappearance.

“Maybe I can get some sleep tonight,” Brenda Spaulding said.

Do you know if these teens have been found. I hope they have come home. Having a missing child is a terrible thing to happen. I am praying for them.
