1933-2013

Louis C. Servantez Sr. passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 80 years, 3 months, and 2 days. He was born July 8, 1933, in Floresville to Jesus and Eusevia Castillo Servantez. He was a lifelong resident of Floresville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Servantez; and his parents.

Louis is survived by his children, Dora Sotello and husband Alfred of San Antonio, Margarita Nombrano and husband Ruben of San Antonio, Monica Servantez of San Antonio, Louis Servantez Jr. and wife Adela of Floresville, and Jesse James Servantez Sr. of Calaveras; stepsons David Perez and wife Shirley and Gilbert “Pingo” Perez Sr., all of San Antonio; his sister, Mary Regaldo of San Antonio; and his brother, Felix Servantez of Floresville. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Amberly Tenorio, Joshua A. Sotello, Shyann Sotello, Joey M. Mendoza, Adam Ray Mendoza, Denimar Mendoza, Crystal Servantez, Jennifer Sanchez, Darren Servantez, Joshua Servantez, Jesse James Servantez Jr., Alyssa Servantez, Marissa Perez, Shawn Perez, and Gilbert Perez Jr.; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Visitation was held Sunday, Oct. 13, at 5 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville, with a rosary recited at 6 p.m.

A prayer service was held Sunday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

A funeral service was held Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Amaro officiating.

Interment followed in the Saspamco Cemetery in Saspamco.

Serving as pallbearers were Darren Servantez, Gilbert Perez Jr., Jesse James Servantez Jr., Joshua Servantez, Albert Gamez Jr., Jesse James Servantez Sr., Ruben Nombrano, Alfred Sotello, and Raymond Castro.
