Crisanta Duran Flores passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 86 years, 11 months, and 15 days. She was born Oct. 26, 1926, in Cañada Verde to Cosme and Mariana Garcia Duran. She was a lifelong resident of Wilson County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Baldemar L. Flores; her parents; her sisters, Beatrice Ruiz, Lucia Seguin, and Micaela Cantu; her half-sister, Juanita Montoya; three half-brothers; son-in-law Paul Hogarth; and grandsons Angel Flores, Randy Hogarth, and Jerry Hogarth.

Crisanta is survived by her children, Mary Esther Hogarth of Floresville, Michaela Vargas and husband Jesse of San Antonio, Dora Shults and husband Tom of Floresville, Sandra Ramirez and husband Roy of Floresville, Baldemar Flores Jr. and wife Mary of Floresville, Erasmo Flores and wife Ophelia of Poth, Cosme Flores of San Antonio, David Flores and wife Sandra of San Antonio, and Eddie Flores and wife Pilar of Floresville; numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; 37 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Visitation was held Monday, Oct. 14, at 5 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.

A funeral service was held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Daniel Seguin officiating.

Interment followed in the Floresville City Cemetery in Floresville.

Serving as pallbearers were Baldemar Flores III, Erasmo Flores Jr., Tiodoro Flores, Federico Flores, Louis Flores, Jeremy Flores, and Jesse Vargas Jr.
