Stockdale cross-country runners compete in Poth

The Stockdale cross-country team participated in the Poth meet Oct. 12.

In the varsity boys division, Samuel Scriven finished in 33rd place with a time of 19:06, followed by Ethan Chavez with a 35th-place finish and a time of 19:19. The remaining participants were Joaquin Munoz in 54th place (20:17), Joel Marquez in 55th place (21:40), and Tristan Marquez in 76th place (25:33).

In the junior varsity girls division, Robyn Moore finished in 32nd place with a time of 16:14, and Kaitlyn Morris finished in 39th place with a time of 17:09.

The seventh-grade boys had a team finish of third place, and were led by Marcos Marquez and Christian Aguilar, who both finished in the top 10. Marquez finished fourth with a time of 12:48, while Aguilar finished in fifth place with a time of 13:00. The remaining participants were Jacob Wallace in 22nd place (14:34), Mark Hernandez in 26th place (14:53), Avery Monity in 30th place (15:20), Joseph Barrera in 37th place (16:00), Adam Jimenez in 39th place, and Tyler Forester in 42nd place (16:15). Diego Martinez finished in 34th place with a time of 15:35 in the eighth-grade boys division. The junior high group will also participate in their district meet on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
