FLORESVILLE -- In addition to nine proposed amendments to the state constitution, Wilson County’s voters are being asked to weigh in on the county’s proposal to issue $8.5 million in certificates of obligation to fund various capital improvements. This is why Howard Berger and Wilson County Judge Marvin Quinney were among those to address the Floresville Chamber of Commerce at its Oct. 16 luncheon. Video from the luncheon can be viewed below.

If approved, the funds will be used to finance:

•Renovation and stabilization of the courthouse
•Conversion of the north wing of Wilson County Courthouse Annex III into a public library
•Conversion of the west wing of Annex III into a criminal justice center complex.

Residents also are being invited to a public forum concerning the proposed debt. It is set for Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. in the American Legion Hall in Floresville. For more, click here: http://bit.ly/1aO6pSz.

I was looking for the pamphlet they handed out at time 8:45 on the video. I have the brochure you updated. The pamphlet appears to be one page and folded in half. I am curious to its content.
