Peggy Jean Day, 67, of Plano, Texas, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013. She was born July 3, 1946, in Nixon to Eugene “Gene” and Mildred Wishert Day.

She was an educational diagnostician, having earned her bachelor’s degree in speech and drama from Pan American University and her master’s in education from the University of Houston.

Peggy was preceded in death by her son, Jason Derek Edmonson; and her parents.

She is survived by her companion of 11 years, Daniel Doria; daughter Courtney Edmonson; sister Helen Ruth White; and grandchildren Myra, Sonia, and Sameer.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 11 a.m. in the Karnes City Cemetery in Karnes City, officiated by the Rev. Linda Martella-White.
