Josefina Serna Trevino passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, in Floresville at the age of 87 years and 10 months. She was born on Dec. 16, 1925, in Poth, Texas, to Juan B. and Piedad Reyna Serna.

She was a resident of Poth for 60 years. Josefina was a member of Emmanuel Assembly of God Church in Poth.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fulgencio Trevino; her parents; children Eva Trevino and Genaro Trevino; sister Paula Serna; and brothers Alfredo Serna, Alberto Serna, and Juan Serna Jr.

Josefina is survived by her son, Fidel S. Trevino Sr. and wife Julia of Poth; sister Margarita Ramirez of Poth; grandchildren Melissa Trevino, Debbie Rodriguez, and Fidel Trevino Jr.; great-grandchildren Gavin Rodriguez and Rocky Rodriguez; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 5 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. in the Emmanuel Assembly of God Church in Poth.

A funeral service was held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the church.

Interment followed in the Emmanuel Assembly of God Cemetery in Poth.
