Eugene Hartl, born Aug. 27, 1925, in Elmendorf, Texas, passed away Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at the age of 88.

Eugene had lived in the Floresville area since 1971.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Pauline Hartl; daughter Gladys Katcsmorak and husband Alfred; sons Raymond Hartl and wife Lorene and Herman Hartl and wife Jan; grandchildren Jason and Russell Katcsmorak, Darrell, Timothy, and Justin Hartl, Laura Kohlleppel, Susan Pratorius, and Matthew Hartl; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 5-8 p.m. in the Mission Park Funeral Chapels South in San Antonio.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral chapel.

Interment will follow in the Mission Burial Park South in San Antonio.
