Wilson County hazardous waste collection Nov. 9
The San Antonio River Authority (SARA) and Wilson County will conduct a household hazardous waste collection event for Wilson County residents on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 8 a.m. to noon at Wilson County Precinct 4 at 104 Mesquite in Stockdale.
Residents can take the following household hazardous waste:
Automobile tires with no rims, acids, antifreeze, used motor oil and filters, pool chemicals, lawn and garden chemicals, and batteries, to name a few. Used electronics such as microwaves, blenders, toasters, televisions, monitors, and computer parts will also be accepted. In addition, pharmaceutical waste, to include prescription and nonprescription meds, pet medications, inhalers, and vitamins, will be accepted.
Items not to bring include:
•Trailer or tractor tires, tires with rims, agricultural chemicals, ammunition, explosives, scrap metals, large appliances, containers larger than 5 gallons, syringes, oxygen tanks, and more.
Materials will be collected on a first-come, first-served basis. Proof of address is required.
