Celebrate the 140th anniversary of the town with the funny name at the 41st annual Flatonia Czhilispiel Festival to be held in downtown Flatonia Friday through Sunday, Oct. 25-27.

The event, popular for its “czhili” and barbecue cook-off, also draws quite a crowd for its music lineup to include the “Oklahoma Red-Dirt Band,” the “Ennis Czech Boys,” “Turnpike Troubadours,” and Wade Benson Landry, to name a few.

Registration is now open for cook-off teams and weekend activities.

For more information, visit www.czhilispiel.com or call 361-865-3920.
