Letters: The downfall of a once-esteemed nation
This is an open letter to the president and the speaker of the House.
It is beyond the imagination that this great nation has come to the state that it is in. The heart of America breaks and cries out in pain at the foolishness of its leaders. It seems your agenda is to divide and conquer to accomplish your goal, and will conquer this country.
We now have leaders pitted against each other, citizens pitted against each other, and the rest of the world wondering what is going on with this country. Mr. President, as narcissistic as a man can be, you are in a precarious situation. You can either continue to inflict your tyrannical attitude and further damage this great Republic, or you can put this Republic ahead of your ego and turn things around. You will own this whichever way you choose to go. But know this, when this country fails, it will be because of you and you only.
Irrespective of the news media in your pocket, and the furthering of your agenda, you alone will dismantle the greatest country on the planet. I do mean to make this sound weighty. I want you to understand the magnitude of the damage you are doing. The economic and moral fabric of this country is in shreds. You have called evil, good and good, evil. You have taken the foundation of the Constitution of the United States and mocked it. At this point, it appears in your mind that no one but you is right, and the mindless media that parrot each other have the right to differ with you. Since when do the leaders in the checks and balances system of the government who disagree deserve to be called names? They are there for the very purpose to maintain balance, but if the balance isn’t leaning toward you, somehow they become evil.
To be sure, sir, the God that has His name in every fiber of the states and the national Constitution, as well as many hearts in this country, will not forgive the slander you have caused His holy name. The warnings have already begun. From attacks on American soil to natural calamities to wars to financial failures to diseases, these are all warnings, which no one is heeding. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that maybe we should rethink our direction.
Unless of course, the downfall of this country is your goal. You have the position and the ability to call this country back to unity. Is unity in your heart? We all follow someone or something. Who are you following and will you be lifted up or torn down when it’s over?
[Daniel 2:21] “It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men And knowledge to men of understanding.”
I urge you, Mr. President and speaker, consider the motives in your hearts. Consider the consequences of your agendas and the tactics you are using. There is a better way to lead a people, a country.
I will continue to pray earnestly for you. I ask that you pray for this country. Remember the hearts and devotion of its Founders. Seek wisdom and count it precious. God bless you and keep you safe in Him.
