Gene Busch, 75, passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, in Floresville, Texas. Gene was born to Edgar and Amanda (Brau) Busch on April 12, 1938, in Houston.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Mary Eckermann.

Gene is survived by his wife, Bernice (Gonzales) Busch; eight children, Larry Busch and wife Terri, Jerry Busch and wife Patti, Lorrie Mayes, Yvonne Guerrero, Yvette Wallace and husband Michael, Luis Guerrero and wife Antoinette, Lynn Guerrero-Torres, and Terry Busch and wife Brooke Crenshaw-Busch; 16 grandchildren, Regina Busch, Jeremy Busch, Jeremiah Busch, Cherie Busch, Amanda Mayes, Amanda Perez, Ashley Gambino, Alexis Acosta, Linda Galvez, Jesse Guerrero, Ryan Torres, Leslie Torres, Christie Torres, Mia Busch, Avah Busch, and Lila Busch; nine great-grandchildren; and sister Lila Garlin and husband Barton.

Visitation was held on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 3-7 p.m. in the Memorial Oaks Funeral Chapel in Brenham.

A funeral service was held on Monday at 2 p.m. in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top, with Pastor John David Nedbalek officiating.

Interment followed in the Florida Chapel Cemetery in Round Top.
