TASB announces Claycomb Student Architecture contest
High school students from any Texas public school district are invited to submit finished architectural designs for the 2013-14 Claycomb Student Architecture contest. The redesign of a library is the challenge, and entries will be judged by professional architects and instructors in two categories, group or individual. First-, second-, and third-place prizes will be awarded in each category. First place wins $1,000, second place $500, and third $250.
To enter the contest, students should submit a completed entry form and photo release(s) to firstname.lastname@example.org by March 3, 2014. Each project must include site and floor plans and a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the project’s features. The contest rules outline complete details. Project submissions must be received in the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) office by 5 p.m. on April 1. A student can enter one project in each category. Winners will be announced in May 2014.
