Mechanic Responsibilities: Vehicle Maintenance and Repair on Transport and Bobtail Tanker trucks. The La Vernia Independent School District (ISD) has an interim superintendent.

The board of trustees appointed Linda Bettin, the former superintendent of Falls City ISD, Oct. 29 during a special meeting. She will take the helm Monday, Nov. 4.

Former Superintendent Tom Harvey’s last day is today. Harvey had been with the district for nine years.

I have faith in the current School Board. The last Board only did what the Super wanted and what the LV Mayor and those in charge wanted. Give them time, if they do not do a good job, that is what elections are for.
