Dallas Warren Crisp, 30, and 20-year-old Roxie Jean Talarico, both of Pleasanton, are scheduled for a bench trial Nov. 26 before 218th District Court Judge Stella Saxon, following their appearances in Wilson County District Court for a docket call Oct. 29.

Both defendants are charged with burglary of a habitation, in connection with a Jan. 15 incident in Floresville. Crisp faces an additional charge of evading arrest or detention with a motor vehicle, after the two led officers from the Floresville Police Department on a pursuit that ended with a rollover wreck near the intersection of Standish and 10th (U.S. 181) streets.

Also present for a docket call was 30-year-old Jordan Lewis of San Antonio, who court records indicate filed paperwork with the court that he intends to enter pleas in both of his cases Nov. 5 before 81st Judicial District Court Judge Donna Rayes.

In addition to charges related to a Nov. 7, 2011, burglary of a home and a building on Eagle Ridge Drive north of Floresville, Lewis stands accused of aggravated robbery, attempted aggravated kidnapping, escape, evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in connection with a March 3, 2012, incident that began in the kitchen of the Wilson County Jail in Floresville and ended on I-37 in Atascosa County.

Other defendants present in court Oct. 29 included:

•Carlton Carter Lambeck, 35, who was arraigned on a charge of failure to stop and leave information, in connection with an April 24 crash on S.H. 123 near Stockdale. He is scheduled to return to court for a pretrial hearing Nov. 26, followed by a docket call Dec. 11, with jury selection ahead of his trial set for Jan. 6, 2014.

•Ruth Elizabeth Snider Escalante, 52, of Atascosa, who is charged with two counts of theft of more than $1,500 but less than $20,000. A third, enhanced, count alleges that she perpetrated this same crime against an elderly victim. She is set to return to court for a docket call Dec. 11, with jury selection ahead of her trial set for Jan. 6, 2014.

•Benjie Burke III, 25, of Gilmer, who is charged with intoxication manslaughter in the Jan. 21, 2012, death of his passenger, 30-year-old Justin Gregory Jones of Edmond, Okla., in a head-on crash on U.S. 181 north of Floresville. He will return to court for a pretrial hearing Nov. 26, followed by a docket call Dec. 11, with jury selection ahead of his trial set for Jan. 6, 2014.

•Patsy Lynne Ritchey, 54, charged with theft of property worth more than $20,000 but less than $100,000, misapplication of fiduciary property, and theft of property worth more than $1,500 but less than $20,000, all related to her previous tenure as treasurer of the Greater La Vernia Chamber of Commerce. She is set to return to court for a docket call Nov. 5, with jury selection ahead of her trial set for Nov. 12.
