Offer condolences

Powell Burton “P.B.” Stokes, 87, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013.

After retiring from the U.S. Air Force Civilian Services, Rev. Stokes became an ordained minister and pastored Living Faith Church for 22 years. He prayed for San Antonio, the city he loved, from the Tower of the Americas every Thursday for almost two decades.

P.B. is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Betty Preston Stokes; daughters Susan Shaked and husband Ze’ev, Julia Stokes, and Betsy Leifeste and husband Rodney; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister Sue Stokes Dishongh.

A funeral service was held Friday, Nov. 8, at 10 a.m. in the Jubilee Outreach Church in San Antonio.

Interment was held in the Mission Burial Park South in San Antonio, Texas.
