The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association will hold its next Young Leadership Series meeting Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15 and 16, at the Texas A&M University Beef Center in College Station, located at 7707 Raymond Stotzer Parkway (S.H. 6).

The meeting is a chance for young ranchers and cattle industry participants to get an in-depth learning experience from experts about the cattle industry as well as network with others in the cattle business.

Dr. Rick Machen, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, will discuss the current trends and challenges in purchasing and leasing land for ranchers looking to expand their operation. Other speakers include Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Director Stephen Diebel, who will discuss real-life examples of how leasing land can help you profit; and Jason Skaggs, executive director of government and public affairs, who will brief the group on current state and federal policy issues.

Participants should download the registration form online at http://www.tscra.org/young-cattle-raisers/yls.html. More information about the Young Leadership series program can be found at www.tscra.org.
