1958-2013

James M. McElhatten, a resident of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, in San Antonio at the age of 54 years, 10 months, and 13 days. He was born on Dec. 24, 1958, in San Diego, Calif., to James and Matilda Agnes Krulatz McElhatten.

James was preceded in death by his mother, Matilda Agnes McElhatten; and sisters Mary McElhatten and Kathleen McElhatten Celaya.

He is survived by his father, James McElhatten of Floresville; sons James Alan McElhatten of San Antonio and John Christopher McElhatten of Beaumont; grandchildren Diego Anthony McElhatten and Marissa McElhatten; sisters Marguerite A. Russell and husband Warren of Hunstville, Cynthia L. McElhatten of San Antonio, and Stephanie L. McElhatten of Harker Heights; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville.

A funeral service was held on Sunday at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Inurnment will follow at a later date.
