The Stockdale Blue Bonnet Club met Nov. 11 in the home of Susan Cotter. Members were served refreshments as they arrived for the regular business meeting.

President Bernice Person called the meeting to order. In the absence of the secretary/treasurer, Billie Jo Wolff read the minutes of the October meeting, gave the treasurer’s report, and conducted the roll call.

Committee reports of the Nursing Home Bingo, Cards, Nursing Home Christmas Project, and Social were given.

The Social Committee chairman reported the Christmas Social will be held in lieu of the December business meeting on Monday, Dec. 2. Those attending are to meet at First Baptist Church parking lot at 5:30 p.m., arriving at the Grist Mill Restaurant in Gruene at 6:30 p.m. and dining at 7 p.m.

The January hostess will be Sandy Lynn, with Kay Deagen to be in charge of the program. The January Nursing Home Visitor will be Frances Hastings.

Due to the absence of Vanessa Bosanko, program leader for this meeting, the president, Bernice Person, suggested members tell how their family celebrated Thanksgiving when they were growing up. It was fun to learn of the different family traditions.

In attendance for the meeting were Charlin Akin, Edith Akin, Judy Childress, Susan Cotter, Gina Deason, Helen Deason, Mary Denson, Sandy Lynn, Bernice Person, Molly Rowell, Sharon West, Barbara Wiatrek, Billie Jo Wolff, and Teri Wolff.
