FLORESVILLE -- The Place 1 city council seat here is now vacant, following Jim Miller’s Nov. 25 decision to resign his post effective immediately.

Miller indicated in an interview with the Wilson County News that he was pleased with Floresville’s ongoing progress with its recently implemented insolvency plan and its ongoing push toward a comprehensive land-use plan.

“But you get to a point where you have to focus on what pays the bills and [on your wife and family],” Miller said.
