1936-2013

Marjorie Ann Tatum, 77, of Pleasant Hill, Calif., went to heaven on Friday, Nov. 1, 2013. She was born in Houston, Texas, on June 3, 1936, to Marion and Juanita Raley.

Marjorie graduated from Reagan High School in Houston and married George Howard Tatum on Dec. 18, 1954. For 44 years they lived in a variety of places including Florida, Texas, and California before finally settling in Sutherland Springs. Marjorie was a bookkeeper for many years until she retired around 1994. She loved to sew, crochet, read books, and travel. She served faithfully in the churches she attended. She loved the Bible and regularly attended and taught ladies Bible studies. Marjorie was a servant to others and placed others before herself.

Marjorie is survived by her three sons, Randall, Donald, and Glenn Tatum; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m. in Pleasant Hill Manor in Pleasant Hill, Calif.

A second memorial service will be held on Friday, Nov. 29, at 1 p.m. in the Vinyard Funeral Home in Floresville, Texas.

Interment will follow in the Sutherland Springs Cemetery in Sutherland Springs where Marjorie will be laid to rest next to her husband, George.
