Q: What inspires your songwriting?

A: I think the most magical thing in life is love -- either side of the roller coaster is incredibly inspirational.

Q: What do you want people to know about you?

A: You can be wild and live your life to the fullest and be as debacherous (sic) as you want to be. I really, really appreciate and love my family, and where I am at, and my fans. And I really am obsessed with animals. I am an international ambassador for the Humane Society. I have a cat, a stray I found outside a strip club. We work a lot with stray dogs. I love animals so much. You can be a total badass, and also I am just a huge dork. Also I can do all sorts of crazy s... . You don’t have to just be one thing. You can be many things. I want to encourage people to be themselves.

Q: How do you relate to your fans?

A: I have had so many young people tell me they don’t have someone encourage them to be themselves and be a freak and be yourself. And I really try my hardest to give the haters the finger. Just be yourself, and that is what I want my show to encourage people. Nobody should feel shy after they watch my show because I am bat s... .

Q: Did you have any worries about filmed with no makeup or not looking your best?

A: In this season, you get no makeup. ... If my whole message is not care what people think, you have to live it.
