Multi-county brush, forage conference slated for Dec. 10

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Wilson, Comal, Gonzales, and Guadalupe counties will host a Brush and Forage Conference Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Agricultural & Heritage Center (Big Red Barn) located at 390 Cordova Road in Seguin. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Five Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units have been applied for pesticide applicators.

Topics to be covered at the conference will include “Brush Management During the Winter,” “Managing Cattle During the Winter,” “Livestock Predator Management,” “Pesticide Laws & Regulations,” “Pasture Insect Management,” and “Broadleaf Weed Control Using Herbicides.”

Preregister with the Guadalupe County Extension Office by Friday, Dec. 6, by calling 830-303-3889 to ensure an accurate count for the meal and handouts. Registration is $25 and includes lunch and handout materials.

Individuals with disabilities should contact the office at least two days prior to the event so accommodations can be arranged.
