Mae Beth Soden Taylor, 79, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013. She was born in Denhawken Sept. 10, 1934, to Edmond and Virginia Roberson.

Mae Beth, also known as Pat, graduated from Stockdale High School and was the Watermelon Jubilee Queen in 1951. She was a beloved member of the community and an active member of Coker United Methodist Church, serving as a devoted Sunday school teacher, and was actively involved in Emmaus. Mae Beth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mae Beth is survived by her husband, retired Col. Stillman V. Taylor Jr.; her son, Scott Soden and wife Elizabeth; her daughters, Teri Nolin and Deanna Talerico and husband Blas; four grandchildren, Roger Nolin, Ryan Nolin, Jennifer Soden, and Tyler Soden; her stepchildren, Priscella Ervin and husband Glynn and Pamela Wilkerson and husband Dean; four stepgrandchildren, Taylor Wilkerson, Hannah Wilkerson, Laura Ervin, and Erik Ervin; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Ervin and Weston Christopher; her brother, Jack Roberson; and her sisters, Marie Koch and Nan Sendelbach.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 6-8 p.m. in the Porter Loring Mortuary North in San Antonio.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Coker United Methodist Church in San Antonio.

Interment will follow in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
