Looking to entertain your guests with great seafood? Then look no farther than Off the Hook Seafood Restaurant, located at 8508 U.S. 181 north of Floresville.

Off the Hook, now under new management, offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and caters for special occasions.

Their menu includes hand-battered seafood and even coconut shrimp, along with steaks, burgers, chicken, gumbo, scallops, kids’ meals, and a salad bar. Appetizers include fried alligator, fried oysters, and seafood samplers.

An assortment of seafood baskets rounds out the menu. Diners can enjoy beer or wine with their meals, too.

Their seafood specialties include Cajun -- fish, shrimp, and fried crawfish tails; Hawaiian -- seared tuna steak and scallops; and Caribbean fish and shrimp -- tropical grilled mahi-mahi and a shrimp skewer.

Happy hour is 3 to 6 p.m. every day.

Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

For more information, call 830-393-3230 or email Offthehooktxseafood@yahoo.com.

TOC When a buyer and seller are both satisfied with the price, that price is fair and reasonable. Only those who don't purchased consider the price as being unreasonable. I think that has something to do with free enterprise.

The frozen food delivery company backed up to the door. Off the Hook fried the "frozen" items. Picnic tables. Uck!

TOC, I think there's hardly a comparison between a mom and pop restaurant and one that basically is the McDonald's of seafood. You should expect to pay a little more for seafood by virtue of your geographic location -- you're ... More ›

I think they are way over priced! I hope with new management came better prices and better seating. Its too expensive to pay $32 for two plates of fish and to sit on a picnic table and eat out of paper plates! Its more expensive ... More ›
