Freshwater

BRAUNIG Water clear. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are fair on live shad. Redfish are fair on live perch and shad near the dam. Channel catfish are good on chicken livers, shrimp, and cut shad. Blue catfish are good on cut bait.

CALAVERAS Water clear. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are fair on live shad. Redfish are fair on live perch, shad, and spoons in 15--25 feet. Channel and blue catfish are good on chicken livers, shrimp, and cut shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

CHOKE CANYON Water clear; 72--76 degrees; 22.55’ low. Black bass are fair on watermelon, pumpkinseed, and tequila sunrise soft plastics and spinnerbaits in 10--20 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and white/pink tube jigs. Drum are fair on live worms. Channel and blue catfish are good on frozen shrimp, liver, and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are fair on live perch.

COLETO CREEK Water clear; 76 degrees at hot water discharge; 4.34’ low. Black bass to 5 pounds are fair on watermelon soft plastics in 6--8 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish to 10 pounds are good on trotlines and droplines baited with live perch in 8--12 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

FALCON Water fairly clear; 71--75 degrees; 27.23’ low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits and crankbaits in creeks and coves. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are very good on shrimp, cut bait, and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

GRANGER Water murky; 62--66 degrees; 1.15’ high. Black bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Blue catfish are good on juglines baited with shad and Zote soap in 3--15 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

LBJ Water stained; 67--71 degrees; 0.30’ low. Black bass are very good on Curb’s buzzbaits and Bleeding Shad Rat--L--Traps in 5--12 feet. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies and Charlie slabs. Crappie are good on live minnows over brush piles. Channel and blue catfish are fair on minnows under crappie docks. Yellow catfish are slow.

TRAVIS Water murky; 65--69 degrees; 54.05’ low. Black bass are good on crawfish crankbaits, watermelon worms, and jigs. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on white jigging spoons and minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows and pink tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.



WALTER E. LONG Water lightly stained. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on minnows and frozen shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

Saltwater

BAFFIN BAY Trout are good while drifting deep rocks on plum plastics. Trout are good in the Land Cut at night under lights. Trout are fair to good on plastics worked along the spoils.

BOLIVAR Trout, black drum, sand trout and redfish are good at Rollover Pass. Trout are fair to good while drifting shell on plastics. Bull redfish are good on the beachfront.

CORPUS CHRISTI Bull redfish are good in the surf on mullet and shrimp. Redfish are good in the holes on live bait.

FREEPORT Bull redfish are good at jetty on crabs, shrimp and mullet. Redfish are good on the beachfront on shad and mullet. Trout are good on the reefs in Christmas Bay on shrimp under a popping cork.

EAST GALVESTON BAY Redfish and flounder are fair to good in the marsh around drains on shrimp. Trout and redfish are good under the birds.

WEST GALVESTON BAY Bull redfish and flounder are good at San Luis Pass on shrimp and shad. Sheepshead, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on shrimp and crabs.

EAST MATAGORDA Trout and redfish are fair to good under the birds when the wind allows. Trout are fair for drifters on Bass Assassins, Hogies and Gulps over humps and scattered shell.

MATAGORDA Trout are fair on sand and grass humps on soft plastics and topwaters. Redfish are fair on live shrimp at Shell Island and Twin on shrimp and mullet.

PORT ARANSAS Trout are fair to good on reefs on live shrimp and mullet. Bull redfish are good at the jetty and on the beachfront on natural baits. Offshore is good for tuna.

PORT ISABEL Trout and redfish are good at Laguna Vista on TTF Flats Minnows, live shrimp and DOA Shrimp under corks. Redfish are good on the edge of the flats on the outgoing tide on shrimp under a cork. Trout are fair to good on plastics worked along the edge of the ICW.

PORT MANSFIELD Trout are fair to good on the shorelines and spoils on soft plastics and plugs. Redfish are good while drifting pot holes on topwaters and soft plastics under a popping cork.

PORT O’CONNOR Redfish are good in the back lakes on shrimp and mullet. Bull redfish are good at the jetty on crabs, mullet and shad. Trout are fair to good on the reefs in San Antonio Bay on soft plastics.

ROCKPORT Redfish are good on the edge of the flats on live shrimp under a popping cork. Trout are fair to good on topwaters around shell in St. Charles Bay and Aransas Bay.

NORTH SABINE Trout are fair to good under birds and pods of shad on soft plastics. Redfish and flounder are good in the marsh on shrimp.

SOUTH PADRE Trout are good on soft plastics under corks on the edge of the channel. Redfish are good in Airport Cove and on the Gas Well Flats on DOA Shrimp, Gulps and TTF Flats Minnows.
